Where Fusion Sound and Lighting Works

We are based in Greensboro and we work throughout the Piedmont Triad, the Triangle and Charlotte, plus the wider East Coast including Virginia and South Carolina. These are the places we go most.

Greensboro is home

Our warehouse is on West Wendover Avenue in Greensboro, and the Triad is where most of our calendar lives. Everything we own is here, our crews are here, and the drive to most of the region is short enough that we can load in the day before rather than building a show in four hours on the morning of. More on what we do in Greensboro.

That matters more than it sounds. Owning our inventory rather than sub-renting is why we can run several crews on the same Saturday, and being close is why a day-before load-in does not cost you a premium.

Travel, where it applies, is quoted upfront rather than turning up on the final invoice.

Cities we work most

Greensboro

Home. Our warehouse, crew and entire inventory are here, and 226 of our completed events have been in this city. Every venue type the Triad has, no travel fee, and a fifteen-minute drive if something needs replacing mid-event. Greensboro.

Winston-Salem

Thirty minutes west, and we are the in-house AV company at Legacy Stables & Events. Barn and farm weddings, downtown arts-district spaces, and a corporate calendar weighted toward healthcare and higher education. Winston-Salem.

High Point

Twenty minutes away, and a completely different job twice a year. Market week showroom activations have their own rules about power, load-in windows and street access. High Point.

Burlington and Alamance County

Half an hour east. School dances, farm-venue weddings and nonprofit events, with no travel fee and no minimum that rules out a normal-sized event. Burlington.

Raleigh

We are the in-house AV company at The Merrimon-Wynne House. Historic downtown weddings, state association conferences and nonprofit galas. Raleigh.

Durham

Converted tobacco warehouses that photograph beautifully and fight you acoustically, plus university and medical conference work. Durham.

Chapel Hill

University and academic events, and weddings in inns, gardens and historic properties where the venue rules usually decide the design. Chapel Hill.

Charlotte

The largest corporate market in the state and the most regulated venues, including convention space with house or union rigging. Charlotte.

Everywhere else

This list is where we go most often, not a boundary. We travel across North Carolina and up and down the East Coast including Virginia and South Carolina, and we take destination work for couples and companies we already know.

If your event is somewhere not on this page, ask. The answer is usually yes, and the only thing that changes is whether a travel line appears on the quote.

Questions we get about where we work

How far will you travel?

Across North Carolina routinely, and up and down the East Coast including Virginia and South Carolina for the right event. Distance is a pricing question, not a yes-or-no question, and we quote travel upfront.

Is there a travel fee?

Not inside the Triad. Beyond about ninety minutes a travel line usually applies, and it goes on the quote where you can see it rather than appearing on the invoice afterwards.

Can you do more than one event in a weekend?

Yes. We run multiple crews and own our inventory rather than sub-renting, which is what makes a double- or triple-booked Saturday possible. Tell us your date early and we will tell you honestly whether it is tight.

Do you know our venue?

Often, and where we do not we will ask the building rather than guess. For rooms we have not worked, and for any of the acoustically difficult ones, we would rather do a site walk than design blind.

Do you charge more in bigger cities?

Not for the same scope. Quotes in Charlotte and Raleigh tend to run higher because the events are larger and the venues add cost, not because we price by postcode.

Do you take destination events?

Yes, for couples and companies we have a relationship with, and for events where the scope justifies it. Ask and we will tell you straight whether we are the right call.

Not sure if you are in range?

Send us the venue and the date. If we can do it we will tell you what it costs, and if somebody else is a better fit we will say that too.
