Who we are
Fusion Sound and Lighting is an events production company based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our DJ roots go back to 2012. We founded Fusion Sound and Lighting in 2018 as a DJ company and grew into what we are now: a team that handles sound, lighting, video and special effects for weddings, corporate events and school dances across the state.
The reason we kept adding services is simple. Couples and planners kept asking who else they had to hire — someone for ceremony audio, someone for uplighting, someone for the video screens — and every extra vendor is another point where a day can come apart. So we brought it in house. One team, one point of contact, one crew that already knows the room.
Today that means a full-time DJ roster, an in-house lighting and AV inventory, and a production side that handles everything from a backyard ceremony to a conference general session. Venues across the Triad keep us on their preferred vendor lists because we show up early, we do not improvise the technical parts, and we leave the room the way we found it.
We are proudest of the boring stuff: the vows everyone could hear, the timeline that did not slip, the transition nobody noticed. That is the work.

Who owns it
Rick Weber owns Fusion Sound and Lighting and still works events. He started DJing in 2012 and founded the company in 2018. There is no call centre and no franchise above us – if something goes wrong at your event, the person who owns the business is the person you reach.
How many events we have actually done
8,174 events since 2018, according to our own booking system as of 26 September 2026. Of those, 5,516 have a recorded venue, which is how we are able to publish venue-by-venue pages with real counts rather than a logo wall. In Greensboro alone the number is 226 completed events with 36 more booked.
The team
We have six DJs on the roster today and we are hiring toward eight over the coming months, plus AV technicians, lighting crew and a warehouse team. Everyone who shows up at your event works for us. We do not sub-contract your DJ out to whoever is free that weekend, and we do not sub-rent the gear.

Insurance and paperwork
We carry general liability, commercial auto and workers’ compensation insurance. We issue certificates of insurance naming your venue as additional insured, usually same day. Send us the venue’s requirements and we will deal with their risk department directly rather than passing it back to you.
Where we work
Our warehouse is in Greensboro, and the Piedmont Triad is home. We regularly work Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Charlotte, and we travel the wider East Coast including Virginia and South Carolina. Full service area.
